A great bad race

I have run with a cold before, but never gotten the cold while running. This was a new experience. I went through 7 bottles of water and gatorade during the race. I was sore, cramping, I could not breathe. For a few miles one of the members of my running club caught up to me and she kept me moving and really did a great job to get me to stay in the race, I was in really bad shape. I managed to do a new course best for myself here in Philly, and although I did not hit my overall goal, I did overcome a huge obstacle and made it special.
After my friends and I went out for some spicy Korean food, which was a good idea for how congested I was, and then we hit the Russia Baths for a few hours. Which the ice cold pool was great for my legs. So even though I am now sick, we absolutely made the best of it. So even though this was a successful failure of a race, I had a great weekend.
I cannot get the Garmin to connect, so I will post the stats later tomorrow. Good night everyone. Have fun, keep running and remember, if Gil can run sick, then so can you!
