Who ran today?

This guy! That’s who! It was a super-easy 5 miles. I actually forgot to turn my watch on the first third of a mile or so. The boys were back, one of them was sick last week, that’s why they weren’t around. Also, according to the weather app on my mostly useless phone, it’s going to be near, or above 60 (15.5 c) all week! With the nights being a pleasant 45 (7.2 c). Much more livable when you only have a 10 liter water heater. (Thanks Daniel Webster for having me write liter, instead of litre, why are the English always trying to be French?)
So I have to get some nice pictures of Sorrento up. It was mostly empty, it’s the off-season for a beach town. But there were some tourists mucking about, mostly Koreans, which I found odd. We didn’t spend too much time there, as it was Sunday, and I had to call home because it was my godson’s first birthday party. So it was a perfect opportunity to get to talk to everyone all at once, which was cool. The best part is, with the state of the public transit system the whole trip was free! Also, the tourists that missed the stop for Pompeii where hilarious, if there’s one stop on the whole trip that is excruciatingly well marked, it’s the Pompeii stop. Bureaucracy may run amok here, but they know where their bread is buttered, and they make sure only a complete fool, or someone not paying attention at all would miss the Pompeii stop.
The first thing you notice immediately is how steep the cliffs are!

Then how clear the water is:

No really, that’s a mooring block, seriously, so clear:

It’s really a beautiful place, and since it’s Italy, churches everywhere:

This guy looks important:

And of course Vesuvius on the way back.

Alright, time to get to work, so have fun, keep running and remember; If Gil can run, then so can you!
