So let\u2019s just look at the numbers from this year.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2 Marathons:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maratona di Roma 4:12:35<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Maratona delle Cattedrali 3:47:45<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 Half Marathon:<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vorbasse Half Marathon 1:50:47<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 5ks:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Craft Brew Races New Haven 5k 24:52<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Courtney Honda Independence Day 5000 23:58<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chilly Chili Run 5k 24:16<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I did not run many races at all. But I kept my mileage up. 1527.82 miles (2458.79 km) over 237.38 hours, burning 186,332 calories. So I basically matched last year\u2019s output. Even though I only ran 35 miles (56.3 km) in May due to injury and uncertainty. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was not an easy year in many ways, and in others it was the best year ever. I suppose the \u201cFacts of Life\u2019 theme had it right. \u201cYou take the good, you take the bad, you take them all and there you have\u2026\u201d and that\u2019s that. I have no goals again for next year, I am just going to keep moving along. I\u2019m going to try and match the past two years, I think I am comfortable at this output. I hope I can run some more races, but it is difficult with my work schedule and the general lack of races, relatively. We will see what the year brings though.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, I will spend the rest of this year watching the best New Year\u2019s movies, Ghostbuster 2 and Trading Places. Seriously, they are New Year\u2019s movies. Definitely two of my favorites. Both Dan Aykroyd movies too. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Stay safe always, but particularly tonight, it\u2019s one of the more dangerous nights on the roads, because we tend to not pay attention to not driving when we\u2019ve been drinking. I don\u2019t understand why this is such a difficult concept. But whatever.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Remember that what we define as a \u201cNew Year\u201d is arbitrary and our way of telling time is anthropocentric and it\u2019s flawed. So don\u2019t go too crazy about everything, do your best, stay positive, fight fascism and keep strong.
