Supposed to meet the other guys to run, no one shows up, a few minutes later, one of the guys shows and we <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strava.com\/activities\/502489803\" target=\"_blank\">take off for a 7.5 miler<\/a>. It is really not so bad. Sure it&#8217;s hilly, sure my leg hurts like hell (which stretching helps, I need to do that more!), but these are nice runs.<br \/>\nBut the hurting part, that&#8217;s what I was thinking about today. I think part of the draw to long-distance running for me, is that it&#8217;s pretty much constant pain or discomfort. Most people go out of their way to avoid that, but I dive right in. There&#8217;s always something, there&#8217;s always a nagging muscle, or joint, or tendon. It may not be debilitating, but it&#8217;s there, always, reminding you you&#8217;re alive. Reminding you that you&#8217;re doing something, that you&#8217;re out there. It&#8217;s not easy pounding out miles on the road, but it is absolutely rewarding. Every time I think I&#8217;ve emptied the tank, it turns out I have a little more to go. I feel like Bruce Willis&#8217; character in Unbreakable. Or maybe I feel I have to live up to that Superman tattoo I have, although I think if you ask most folks who know me, I&#8217;ve far surpassed that already.<br \/>\nMy new challenge is that it seems the HDMI in my laptop is Output only. So it looks like I need to find a TV, easier said than done I fear. I need some PS4 action, I need some Rocksmith. This must happen. I&#8217;ve been playing the same four chords over and over and it&#8217;s like Joe&#8217;s Garage in here! It&#8217;s ok to enjoy the work of others, but go out and be Superman, be Wonder Woman (please!), be the Green Lantern, be Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), be the Flash, be Rogue, be Wolverine, be Raven (also please, pretty please)!
