2016 begins, and the streak ends!
I ran the Chilly Chili 5k today. Great time for being sick, 24:14 is the official. I thought it was a course record, but I was wrong, Doc’s Race in 2014 I did a 24:04. Ten seconds difference, and I was sick with the same basic symptoms both times. Although today was much colder. Looks like I will make one final club run on Wednesday night, and on Saturday the 9th, I’ll be off on my new adventure.
Speaking of which I am finalizing everything now with the British School Somma Vesuviana. That is where I will be for now. Wow, this is huge! So I have a week of work around the house, saying goodbyes, sorting out things so I have as little to do as possible when I get there, because I land about 12 hours before I start work! Craziness! It looks like I will be flying out of my favorite area airport, JFK. If I get the flight I want, it will be on a 787 too. This is all so great.
So that’s what’s happening today, new year, new job, I’m going to not run tomorrow and take a little rest. Other than all that, I will share my favorite New Year’s Day song with you:
